Josephine E. Fahey is a third-year English and Political Science major at Cabrillo, with interests in rhetoric and political theory . This is her second year writing for The Scuttle which has afforded her a deep passion for student journalism. She is the Co-founder of Cabrillo’s English club, The Bookworms, and also serves on the Student Senate as Student Trustee.

Lizzy Sterling is a sophomore level student at Cabrillo. She is currently pursuing a transfer degree in mathematics. She started at the Scuttle in the Spring of 2026 as a music columnist and has now transitioned into an editor position. She is passionate about writing, the intersection of STEM and humanities, and being involved in Cabrillo’s community.

My name is B. Scalzo, and I am a second year journalism major here at Cabrillo. Growing up, I found myself becoming interested in and keeping up with politics from a young age, and got into journalism as a way to help others stay informed on what’s going on in their city. I hope my column helps you make informed decisions with your time and votes. 

Cheyenne Janisch

Cheyenne Janisch is a third year Cabrillo student, majoring in TV and film media. Cheyenne is a newly added columnist for the Scuttle, as of the Fall 2026 semester. They are passionate about film photography, mixed-media art, writing and poetry, and storytelling. You can find Cheyenne at English Literature club meetings.
